This Kraftshala review is a transcript of a video testimonial shared by Dipak Panse, an alumnus of Kraftshala’s Marketing Launchpad.

Quick facts

  • Name: Dipak Panse
  • From: Nagpur, Maharashtra
  • Education / background: Worked 3 years in Qatar as a document handler at an oil-and-gas company; career-switcher into digital marketing
  • Program: Marketing Launchpad (MLP) – June to December 2025
  • Current role: Senior Account Executive, E-commerce (Amazon Ads)
  • Company: LS Digital
  • In their words: “One minute can change your life – that’s what Kraftshala does.”

Deepak Panse spent three years in Qatar handling documents at an oil-and-gas company. A copy of Rich Dad Poor Dad and a few WhatsApp-marketing experiments later, he decided to walk away and rebuild his career in digital marketing. He came home, got married, joined Kraftshala’s Marketing Launchpad, cleared 10-12 interviews, and now runs Amazon Ads as a Senior Account Executive at LS Digital. Here’s his story.

What triggered the switch from a Qatar job to digital marketing?

While I was in Qatar I started reading books. One of the best was Rich Dad Poor Dad – it changed my whole life and showed me how businesses work. Then I tried affiliate marketing on the EarnKaro platform, and that showed me how you acquire a customer. I started running ads, including WhatsApp marketing.

My surroundings helped too – I was working at a large oil-and-gas company surrounded by people from IITs and top institutes, and they encouraged me. I studied the boAt case study – how they white-label products and grow from zero using Amazon, Flipkart, Meta and Google ads. That curiosity told me I wanted to switch my career.

Was there ever a doubt that digital marketing wasn’t for you?

No, because I’d already tried it. I ran WhatsApp-marketing ads through a new Meta feature and got real customers from it. That gave me confidence: if I can do it myself, and brands everywhere need these skills, then the market needs this skill – so if I learn it, I can win.

What was your first impression of Kraftshala, and what else did you consider?

When I came back to India I consulted a lot of institutes, but I loved Kraftshala because I connected with its alumni. One of the best, from MLP Batch 7 – Hrithik Arora – gave me a lot of clarity: why digital marketing, what the job opportunities are, whether it’s the right time. The other institute I looked at was IIDE, but they wouldn’t commit on placement and the fees were very high.

“At Kraftshala, people are true to their word. I gave around 10-12 interviews, and they never made me feel unsupported – they always pushed me: ‘Where are you lagging? We’ll get you placed.'”

The best part about Kraftshala was the confidence that they could place me – a past result of around 96%. In my own batch we got around 96-97% placement, and they said I’d get a minimum ₹4.5 LPA job.

A favourite moment you’ll carry for life?

It was running real ads on Meta, Google and Amazon. That was an eye-opener, because theory alone doesn’t build confidence.

“You see you got 200 impressions today and only 100 clicks, and you ask, ‘How do I improve this?’ We experimented every day – and it gave us real confidence.”

How was your placement journey?

Every week we had a call with my placement mentor, who kept giving us confidence. At the start, a lot of people got placed quickly because PGD (Publicis Global Delivery) and big brands came to hire. Near the end, around 20 of us were left, which is when it gets hard. On the 1st of May, I interviewed with LS Digital, and on that same call the interviewer said, “We’re taking you.”

What was your family’s reaction?

Leaving a high-paying job in Qatar to switch careers made my family curious – “Why not continue?” But my wife always supported me. Right up until I got the job she’d say, “Take a pause, breathe, do your best.” When I got the job, the first person I told was my wife – she was happier than ever.

What would you tell someone who wants to switch into digital marketing?

I’d encourage them – around 7-8 people have contacted me on LinkedIn, worried that AI might take jobs. I tell them this is the best time, because every business wants to grow online but most don’t know how. You can be the person who helps them grow. In India you can survive on around ₹35,000 a month, and after two years your salary won’t stay there – it grows with your knowledge, skills and understanding of business.

How’s life at LS Digital in e-commerce marketing?

It’s great. Before Kraftshala I didn’t really know Amazon ads – only Meta and Google. Kraftshala introduced me to Amazon ads, and I didn’t expect to get placed in that area, but at LS Digital I’ve gained a lot of insight. When I compare notes with people at other agencies, they say certain things only come six months after joining – but at Kraftshala, and at LS Digital, they teach it from day one.

Would you still choose Kraftshala if you restarted?

Yes, definitely. In the industry there’s an entry barrier – people won’t give you a job if you don’t have the knowledge. At Kraftshala, the industry trusts the brand: if a person comes from Kraftshala, they have the knowledge and can do the work. Just as IITians are seen as among the best in their fields, in marketing I’d say Kraftshala is one of the best.
