Varun Satia
Varun Satia is the co-founder and CEO of Kraftshala School of Business, formerly Kraftshala, a job-linked business school for careers in marketing, sales and business. With over a decade of experience in marketing, entrepreneurship, training, and academia, he began his career at Nestlé India, managing roles including the ₹2,000 crore MAGGI brand. He later co-founded Expertizo Education, gaining insights that shaped Kraftshala.
In 2016, Varun co-founded Kraftshala - now Kraftshala School of Business - with Eshu Sharma to address the disconnect between education and industry needs. He believes India’s higher education is overly theoretical and misaligned with student success, advocating for a system built on practical, fun, job-oriented learning led by industry practitioners.
Under his leadership, Kraftshala School of Business has grown into a thriving institution with 200,000+ members, a 95% Advocacy Score, and a 94% Placement Rate. The platform has trained professionals from top companies like Cashify, ITC, Myntra, and GroupM.
A passionate academic and mentor, Varun has conducted 100+ sessions at top B-schools including IIMs, ISB, and XLRI. He was also Managing Director at StudentBusinesses.com, later acquired by the Kauffman Foundation.
Varun holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pilani (Goa) and an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi. He continues to drive change in education with his ethos of “Scaling with Soul.”
